Tomba & Tashi Recommend

  • ADOPTION
On the day that Tomba (above) found his home, approximately 13,000 other dogs and cats were killed because no one adopted them. By visiting a shelter where the staff is trained to evaluate the behavior of their residents, you'll have more assurance of finding a suitable friend than you'd get from most breeders. Interested in a dog at a shelter that doesn't evaluate behavior? Bring a behaviorist or trainer with you. Save a life: Start your search at Petfinder.
  • Nina Ottosson's Dog Pyramid
So many treats! So much paw-slapping fun! (Unless you're Tomba, in which case you can get your massive jaws around the entire toy. Look, no paws, Mom!)
  • Busy Buddy treat dispensing toys, all of them, but especially the Chuckle and the Kibble Nibble
  • Ruffwear collars and leashes
(OK, Barbara recommends the Flat Out leash for its adjustability and handy "traffic" handle, but Tomba and Tashi love their soft Hoopie collars)
